LIVING SOUND FAVOURITES
Hi-fi is really only a means to an end, it exists solely to deliver the best fidelity to our favourite music. And since music is our passion we thought it would be fun to list some of our favourite music related websites and an album that we're currently enjoying. Most audio forums worth their salt have a good music discussion section where you can check out what others are listening to, or ask for recommendations such as where to start if you want to try a different genre of music.

Bruce Cockburn – Slice O Life – Live Solo
This is Cockburn’s (pronouned Coburn) first-ever live solo album, and it’s been well worth the wait. Those aquainted with the Canadian’s long and vast musical repertoire, will find familiar favourites as well as a new song which is hopefully an indication of another studio album on the way.
The songs chosen for this two disc set were selected from ten shows performed in May 2008. There’s an aditional three tracks recorded at sound checks.
The recording quality is warts n’ all which is just how a live album should be, but you will be amazed with just how clear and dynamic the sound is – better than most studio albums you’ll hear.
If, like me, you’re a Bruce Cockburn fan then this album is a must. If you like virtuoso guitar playing, thought provoking lyrics and rich vocals, this is a great introduction to the man who’s been called “Canada’s best kept secret”.
Very highly recommended.
Rick.
