MULTI ROOM
Multi Room:
This is the latest type of technology we have embraced at Living Sound. Multi Room options can give the customer a ‘whole house’ customised system whereby they can control music and movies throughout the home. It is the way of the future and will become more mainstream as home owners become more familiar with what this technology can offer them.
Installation:
Because we sell a wide variety of different audio/visual systems, our installation service has grown to meet their various requirements.
Our home automation/multi room systems are installed by Darren Ward who has a technical background in electrical and security systems. Darren also installs equipment such as Bose and runs cables in walls, ceilings or under floors.
With products such as Naim and our other higher end stereo products, Phil or Ricky handle the installation as this requires experience in getting the best from a two channel system.
Five FAQs about Multi Room.
Q.1.
"I'm building a new home, when should I enquire about Automation ?"
A. Usually customers come and see us just before or when their plans are at the preliminary stages. This gives them plenty of time to discuss what options will best suit their needs and budget.
Q.2.
"How much automation do I need?"
A. Distributing music to various areas of the home is usually top of the list. The next two priorities are control of the security system and lighting. For the top end customer it's usually a case of integrating as many systems as possible and providing access to control the home via the internet.
Q.3.
"My house is at the framing stage and I've decided I want some music in other rooms. When do the cables need to be run?"
A. Before the internal wall linings go on and usually at the same time or after the electrical cables have been run.
Q.4.
"Can I just go 'wireless' for all my Automation?"
A. Wireless is the new catch phrase and many think it's the easy solution to the cable issue. While our Control4 systems certainly incorporate wireless technology for various functions, we try and hard wire where possible for signal reliability and sound quality.
Q.5.
"How hard is this stuff to use?"
A. By keeping everything under the one control system we can lessen the amount of user education required to operate everything. This technology is here to make life simpler for the end user so that controlling your lighting and security system is no harder that changing a t.v channel.
