At Living Sound, we believe a fuller appreciation of music or movies can be had when the playback equipment used provides better fidelity to the source (i.e compact disc, vinyl records or DVD).
Some of the more challenging music genres such as classical and jazz are better understood when a quality playback system is used.
Mediocrity is everywhere we look and no more so than in the world of home entertainment electronics. It is only in a specialty store that you will find products that are designed and built by companies with passion, and sold with passion in stores like ours, to people who have a passion for music or movies in their life.
Ricky Dasler
In 2003 Ricky became co-owner of Living Sound.
He trained and worked as a jeweller in the 80s’ then opened Rhythm
Records in Nelson until the mid 90s’. Music has been a passion since a
very early age and hi-fi a hobby from his early 20’s. His home stereo
system is a combination of Naim electronics and Magneplanar
loudspeakers.
Phil Jordan
Phil moved to Nelson in 2004, having spent six years working in audio and radio production in the UK. Being from a musical family, Phil has performed in several bands in Manchester, recording and releasing material covering various genres of music. Before becoming co-owner of Living Sound in 2009, he has spent four years importing and distributing music within New Zealand.
Darren Ward.
Quality products require expertise and specialist knowledge by a careful installer. After working in the electrical trade for many years, Darren decided it was time to branch out into more specialised fields forming his own security installation business. He is now contracted to do the majority of install work for Living Sound. His home system is based around Marantz home theatre components.
